CONDITIONAL SENTENCES (KOŞUL CÜMLELERİ)

Bir olayın gerçekleşmesi başka bir olayın gerçekleşmesine bağlıysa kullanılır. Bu yüzden Condinional Sentences (Koşul cümleleri) denir.

If we catch the bus, we will come. (Eğer otobüsü yakalayabilirsek geleceğiz.)

If I find my mobile phone, I will call my mum.

“If” kelimesi cümleye eğer anlamı katar.

CONDITIONAL SENTENCES TYPE-1 (…olursa, …olacak/olur)

Olması muhtemel olayları anlatır. Type 1’deki kalıplar:

· If+simple present+will

If you do your homework, your teacher will be happy. (eğer ödevini yaparsan, öğretmenin mutlu olacak.)

If it rains, he won’t come. (Eğer yağmur yağarsa, o gelmeyecek.)

SORU: wh+will+ıf+simple present

What will we do, if they come? (Gelirlerse ne yapacağız?)

· If+simple present+simple present

Alışkanlıklarımızdan ya da genel gerçeklerden bahsederken kullanılır.

If we get hungry, we eat hamburger. (Eğer acıkırsak hamburger yeriz.)

If you get late, you say “ı am very busy”. (Eğer geç kalırsan, “çok yoğundum” dersin.)

· If+simple present+must/should

If she wants me, she mustn’t be aggressive.(Eğer beni istiyorsa, saldırgan olmamalı.)

If you want get healty, you shouldn’t eat unhealty food. (Eğer sağlıklı olmak istiyorsan, sağlıksız yiyecekler yememelisin.)

· If+continuous tense

If he isn’t coming, I will not come too. (Eğer o gelmiyorsa, ben de gelmeyeceğim.)

· If+perfect tense

If the repairman has repaired my computer, we can chat on the internet. (Eğer tamirci bilgisayarımı tamir ettiyse, internet üzerinden sohbet edebiliriz.)

· If+can

If you can read the newspaper, you will understand. (Eğer gazeteyi okuyabilirsen, anlayacaksın.)

TEHDİT: If you don’t say real, I will say! (Gerçeği söylemezsen ben söyleyeceğim!)

CONDITIONAL SENTENCES TYPE-2 (…olsa, …olur.)

Gerçeklik durumu az ya da olmayan durumlarda kullanılır.

If I had a cat, I would be happier. (eğer bir kedim olsaydı daha mutlu olurdum.)

· If+simple past+would

If I had a car, I would come. (Arabam olsa gelirdim.)

If you had a home, you would be happier. (Bir evin olsa daha mutlu olurdun.)

· If+were/was+would/should

If you were rich, you would buy a villa. (Zengin olsan villa alırdın.)

If I was sick, I would go doctor. (Hasta olsam doktora giderdim.)

· If+were to+would/could/might

If he were to blame her, she would say truth. (Onu suçlasa, gerçekleri anlatırdı.)

If I were to have enough milk, I would make cookie. (Yeterli sütüm olsa, kurabiye yapardım.)

CONDITIONAL SENTENCES TYPE-3 (…olsaydı,…olurdu.)

Gerçekleşmemiş ve gerçekleşmesi de mümkün olmayan durumlarda kullanılır.

· If+past perfect+would have+V3

If he had become rich, he would have been smart. (zengin olsaydı, şık olurdu.)

If she had seen me, she say “hello”. (beni görseydi merhaba derdi.)

· If+past perfect+modal+V3

Burada kullanılan can yetenek, might olasılık bildirir.

If I had been rich, I can bought a mansion. (Zengin olsaydım, bir köşk alırdım.)

If he had had enough money, we might married him. (Parası olsaydı, evlenebilirdik.)

· If+past perfect continuous+would+V3

If it hadn’t been raining, we would have met. (Yağmur yağmıyor olsaydı, buluşurduk.)

If I had been staying this home, I wouldn’t have passes the exam. (bu evde kalıyor olsaydım sınavı geçemezdim.)

· If+could have done+would+V3

If I could have called you, I would have said it. (Eğer seni arayabilseydim, söylerdim.)

If I could have seen you, I would have given the your homework. (Eğer seni görebilseydim, ödevini verirdim.)
