A compare and contrast theme means that you will present two things. Advantages or disadvantages, their effects, relations etc.
When you are writing theme, don’t be subjective. For example; you love a singer and hate another. Don’t compare them, that is not fair. You can compare , for example, living in a city or living in a small town. Remember: Be fair!
First Way: Compare all things in one paragraph. For example there is X and Y. Write all good thing of those in a paragraph and write both bad sides in another paragraph.
This form is very common.
Second Way: Compare Z of X and Y. Write similarties and differences. In another paragraph write W of X and Y. Compare them.
