QUESTION TAGS (SORU TAKILARI)

“Question tags” cümlenin sonuna “değil mi” anlamı katar. Amaç onay almadır.

Eğer cümle olumluysa, question tags olumsuz olur.

Eğer cümle olumsuzsa, question tags olumlu olur.

He is your boyfriend, isn’t he? (O senin erkek arkadaşın değil mi?)

Clare loves Britney Spears, doesn’t she? (Clare, Britney Spears’ı sever değil mi?)

They won the match, didn’t they? (Maçı kazandılar değil mi?)

She doesn’t love coffee, does she? (Kahve sevmez değil mi?)

She can’t talk, can she? (Konuşamaz değil mi?)

Eğer cümlede “that, this, something, everything, nothing” varsa question tags bölümünde “it” kullanılır.

· Everything must be wonderful, isn’t it? (Herşey mükemmel olmalı, değil mi?)

· Nothing can be wrong, isn’t it?

Eğer cümlede “these, those, everybody, somebody, nobody, no one” varsa question tags bölümünde “they” kullanılır.

These aren’t mine, aren’t they? (Bunlar benimkiler değil, değil mi?)

“I am” ile başlayan cümlelerde question tags bölümünde “aren’t I” kullanılır.
